About Tomorrow.io

Tomorrow.io is the world's only Weather Intelligence Platform™. Fully customizable to any industry impacted by the weather, customers around the world including the NFL, Uber, Delta, Ford, National Grid and more use Tomorrow.io to dramatically improve operational efficiency. Tomorrow.io was built from the ground up to help teams predict the business impact of weather, streamline team communication and action plans, improve productivity, and optimize profit margins.

Job Description

Tomorrow.io’s Space & Sensors team is responsible for the development of unique RF-based sensing systems, such as radar and sonar, from architecture through implementation. The team is also responsible for the  development of corresponding spacecraft and constellations in support of Tomorrow.io’s Operation Tomorrow Space, which will collect data to be integrated seamlessly into our existing forecasting and modeling systems, revolutionizing global weather intelligence.

We are looking for a Test Technican to join a cutting edge, multidisciplinary team focused on advancing the design, development and deployment of next-generation spaceborne, airborne and ground-based RADAR and radiometer systems.  Applications include, but are not limited to, weather and climate remote sensing, navigation and situational awareness, as well as enabling the most capable weather intelligence platform in the world.  As a Test Technician at Tomorrow.io, you will play a critical role in hardware and sensor development through work including development, execution, and documentation of complex hardware test systems; growing/enabling the hardware test capabilities of Tomrrow.io; and ultimately validating systems for operational deployment across underwater, airborne, and in-space environments.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and document test plans, procedures, protocols and scripts to assess, qualify, & verify performance of digital, analog & RF hardware to meet system requirements.
  • Setup and build testing fixtures and apparatus.
  • Complete tests of subsystems & systems and analyze & documented results.
  • Provide feedback, recommendations and design modifications to overcome design limitations and improve performance and testing.
  • Oversee laboratory technicians and staff and track laboratory equipment calibration and supplies.

What you bring:

  • B.S. degree in electrical or computer engineering with 3+ years experience testing complex hardware, developing test setups; working with relevant test equipment including, but not limited to, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters and noise figure meters.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating system and with scripting languages, such as Python, especially as they apply to control and automation of test equipment.
  • Enjoy and understand the importance of documented test procedures and well analyzed test results over broad use environments.
  • Experience with specifications of custom test equipment: breakout boxes, level translators, custom harnesses.
  • Excellent time-management and communication skills.

This position requires access to technology that is controlled under U.S. export control laws and regulations. Accordingly, this position is restricted to U.S. citizens, permanent residents and protected individuals unless and until any required licenses are obtained.

So if your passion is to test cutting edge next-generation RADAR systems to provide weather intelligence to the world and have fun while doing so, then this team is for you.

If you have reached this point and you are super excited but not sure you check all the boxes - we still want to speak with you! Your passion is priceless. Other things can be learned.
